SuperiorHealth Medical Group looked to Horty Elving to replace two aging clinic facilities with more spacious, advanced primary care clinics with pharmacy services. Horty Elving incorporated the heritage of each city into the designs — lighthouse motif in Two Harbors, and railroad imagery in Proctor.

Working closely with clinic staff and physicians, a unique design is created for small clinic operations. By linking together admitting and reception to the nurse stations, efficient access to patient information is enhanced. To support team collegiality and staff efficiency, provider offices are grouped at the end of the exam room corridors.

Interiors respond to the unique heritage of the Proctor and Two Harbors communities. Daylighting, natural materials, and colors to the northern Minnesota landscape are woven together to create a calming, relaxed environment.

Horty Elving provided design and construction management services as a single source of accountability for the SuperiorHealth Medical Group. All cost-savings returned to the owner at the conclusion of the project.
